Year in Review
From my first and second hospital jobs to attending my fourth Kaleo concert-I did a ridiculous amount of things my third year of college. In this video, you will see part of my love for travel, domestically as time allowed this year. I somehow went to the Gulf Shores of Alabama, Boston, the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, and Sedona. I spent two days a week working as a PCA in a hospital from July through March, and then received a co-op position at the very end of the year. If I documented each and every time I entered the hospital for work, it would have made for an incredibly boring video, so you will only see a couple flashes of my time in the hospital setting. A decent chunk of my time was spent studying with my nursing friends, creating projects, taking an exercise class, and being at clinicals for my second med-surg, obstetics, and pediatric rotations. Learning as much as humanly possible has certainly been the biggest task of the year, but there was always time for fun. I consider giving tours to always be a highlight of the year, and this year is no exception. Once a week (or last summer-twice...or three times...or four times) I volunteer to show prospective students how endless the opportunities are at UC, and the honors program plays a role in those as well. In the mixture of all the craziness of the year, I still managed to keep calm with family, friends, and games upon games. My parents took over a local puzzle store in our hometown, and we spent some time in March preparing for its opening. There was always an excuse, it seemed, to come home to Beavercreek every so often to say hi, and my boyfiend of a year and a half often joined me in my adventures this year. Plus the baking/cooking... ALL of the baking and cooking. It's the worst-kept secret that I bake and eat all the time, so you'll see way too many of my treats in here. So take a deep breath and enjoy the next seven minutes and thirty-nine seconds of a year of hard work!
